Hormone Health: comprehensive hormone blood testing & Naturopathic consultation
This blood test assesses your reproductive & thyroid hormones, markers included:
Thyroid: TSH, fT4, fT3, TPO & TG antibodies
Reproductive: E2 (oestradiol), progesterone, testosterone (total & free), SHBG, LH & FSH
This test can help determine the hormonal cause of heavy, painful bleeding, irregular cycles, acne, symptoms of perimenopause & symptoms of slowed thyroid - which share a lot of common symptoms such as bowel changes, brain fog, anxiety, cold intolerance, weight loss resistance, palpitations & many more.
This test is ideally taken at day 19-21 of a regular 26-28 day cycle, for cycles that vary from this but are still regular & predictable, aim for 6-7 days before the start of next period. For cycles that are a less predictable, testing on day 2-3 of the bleed is recommended; for cycles that are completely MIA with no signs predictable signs of return, the test can be taken at any time.
NOTE: for those with a fear of needles, see salivary testing option
